Crafting Nature’s Beauty into Stunning Shell Chandeliers

The Shell Chandelier, created by Lowcountry Originals, is a stunning piece of craftsmanship that showcases the beauty of nature. The chandelier measures an impressive 72 inches in diameter and is made up of over 750 flat oyster shells that were personally handpicked from the Georgia coast.

The shells were carefully selected for their size and design, ensuring a uniform look to the chandelier. The shells were then strung together with white-washed beads to create a 12-inch drop sphere that emits a warm and gentle glow when illuminated. This chandelier is perfect for creating a relaxing ambiance in any space.

BUILDING MOMENTUM!

Our commercial team recently held a year-end strategy meeting, where we are happy to report that we not only achieved but also exceeded our 2023 goals. This has set a high standard for future growth for Wendover Art. During the meeting, all attendees participated with enthusiasm, leaving with renewed confidence, eagerness, and momentum heading into 2024 and we are excited to tackle the opportunities and continue to build, develop and recruit the best all-stars to be the leading partner for not only our customer but also our sales reps. Overall, the meeting provided us with a clear plan of action and a renewed purpose to continue driving growth and success for our organization.

At Wendover, we prioritize delivering superior value and service to our commercial representatives, partners, and customers. We are thrilled to continue showcasing our expansive product capabilities to our customers, which includes artwork, wallcoverings, textiles, mirrors, signage, and lighting. Our team is leading the charge with grit and ambition, and we are committed to driving sustainable growth and success for our organization this coming year and many more beyond!

To celebrate our achievements, we had a memorable dinner that reinforced our sense of unity and camaraderie.

Spacewalking Astronaut Steve Smith on Lessons from Space

This past week, our Largo, FL headquarters had the honor of hosting , a highly experienced astronaut with four flights and seven spacewalks under his belt. During his talk, he drew parallels between the challenging and uncertain environment of space exploration and that of today’s fast-paced and dynamic business world.

Steve encouraged us to adopt an Explorer’s Mindset, which requires a willingness to take risks and make tough decisions. He highlighted the attributes and habits required to cope with extreme environments and challenges:

Set AUDACIOUS Goals. Laughable goals are often good goals.

- When faced with an obstacle, throw out your old rules and previous solutions and go for OPTION X. Collaborate with others, it’s free, and it makes you feel good.
- You must have GRIT. As one unified team, understand the mission and get after it. Strong teams are efficient in good times, and resilient in bad times.
- SIMPLIFY YOUR LIFE. Get rid of the noise to find balance and room to achieve your goals.
- We all walked away energized, inspired, and ready to work as a team. As he reminded us, TEAM stands for Together Everyone Achieves More.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: ALEX MOORE
Alex Moore is a NYC-based artist who specializes in polaroid and film photography. He captures the city's unique energy and character using natural light. His work evokes sun-drenched nostalgia, exploring themes of impulsivity and impermanence. With his mindful choice to work with Polaroid, these images are, at once, current and reminiscent.

ILLUMINATED WALL ART
This collection of polaroid photographs by Alex Moore showcases captivating imagery that celebrates youth culture. To display the artwork in a modern and innovative way, we created 12 framed pieces that are spaced 2 inches apart. Each artwork is 22.5 inches and individually backlit with customizable LED panels. The illumination highlights the artist's clever use of light and shadow, accentuates the colors, and creates a dazzling neon effect. By using LED panels, we were able to adjust the color temperature and brightness of each box, resulting in both vibrant and efficient illumination of the artwork. Our state-of-the-art printing technology allowed us to print on acrylic, creating a stunning visual effect that adds an element of interactivity when seen in person.

Experience Luxury Living at One Madison Park - A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Style

Living in One Madison Park is a privilege that requires balancing the comfort of your home with the energy of the neighborhood. The building's lobby is sleek and modern in design, remodeled by Yabu Pushelberg, an interior design firm renowned for its innovative luxury designs. The lobby features a lounge area where residents can relax and socialize, complete with comfortable seating and stylish decor, making it the perfect place to catch up with friends or even get some work done. Overall, the lobby is a true reflection of the building's commitment to luxury and quality.

The designers chose to use Kevin O'Brien pillows on the wrap-around sofa when designing the lobby. Philadelphia-based business Kevin O'Brien Studio specializes in hand-painting designs on textiles using natural dyes, a highly specialized craft that has been around for thousands of years and still thrives in parts of Asia and Europe. Founder Kevin O'Brien began his career as a painter with the goal of adding beauty to the world. He hand paints white silk velvet with natural dyes using a unique process that he developed himself to create an ombre effect. The result is stunning, with a subtle gradient of colors that is both elegant and timeless.

Kevin O'Brien's Velvet Pillows Elevate La Vetta Clubhouse Lobby Design

Kevin O’Brien's design team from Yabu Pushelberg have adorned the La Vetta Clubhouse lobby with our gorgeous velvet decorative pillows! These pillows are hand-painted with custom dye mixtures, creating a stunning ombre effect with iridescent greens, golds, and browns blending together. The velvet fiber is layered with numerous dye colors, resulting in an exquisite design.

Yabu Pushelberg is a design firm that specializes in creating immersive environments that cater to human experiences. Their clients include leading hotel and resort brands, developers, retailers, restaurateurs, manufacturers, and creative individuals looking to stand apart from the crowd. With a collaborative and approachable approach to problem-solving and design, Yabu Pushelberg believes in dreaming big and overcoming obstacles to create unique and fresh solutions.

La Vetta was a joint development by Wing Tai Properties and Manhattan Group, whose bold vision exudes opulence and represents modern luxury living.

Celebrating Lowcountry Originals as they show off their Custom Capabilities!

Excited to share the collaboration between Lowcountry Originals and designer Michelle Reeves from Burlap Street Interiors for her home in Milton, GA. The standout piece is a unique chandelier designed for outdoor dining, featuring a found pressed copper weather vane in the shape of a dressage horse seamlessly integrated into it. As someone who competes in dressage competitions, this chandelier holds a special meaning to her. Thanks to the quick turnaround time, the homeowner was able to enjoy the beauty and inspiration of this piece in no time.

Travel the World from Inside The Met: Wendover Art Group Debuts Exclusive Collection in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and Wendover Art Group, a domestic leader in artisanal and hand-crafted wall art editions, are proud to unveil their first collaborative collection on April 5th.

Inspired by The Met’s vast holdings of over two million art objects spanning 5,000 years from around the globe, the debut collection spotlights artworks spanning a diverse range of cultures and time periods as seen in the galleries of the Museum under the theme Travel the World from Inside The Met. The Met x Wendover debut offering comprises over 50 new works of art inspired by ancient Egyptian artifacts; European decorative objects; Greek and Roman sculptures, photographs from inside the iconic museum, and more. Digitally printed on premium canvas and paper, and hand embellished by artisans, this collection brings high-end creations to a broader market and showcases The Met’s rich heritage within a digital marketplace.
