Using puppets ranging from Cookie Monster, Grover, Ernie, Kermit, and Animal, and some of Joe’s original characters, we read picture books to children such as the Caldecott award winning picture book, The Paperboy, and Jamie Lee Curtis’ Where Do Balloons Go? The show also uses songs such as “Rainbow Connection” and “Old McDonald Had a Farm” to teach lessons about ABC’S, animals, colors, numbers, a
nd American Sign Language. We incorporate miniature skits which teach such topics as the importance of saying sorry and creating awareness for bullying and how to handle it; if there’s a topic you’d like us to discuss, just ask and we’ll see if we can add the lesson to our show. Any funds given to this project goes directly to the cost of gas, supplies, puppets. Our Volunteers:
