Gabriela Mendoza-Garcia Ballet Folklorico, L.L.C The mission of Gabriela Mendoza Garcia’s Ballet Folklorico is to instill an appreciation for the practice of Mexican folkloric dance.

“Honoring our ancestors with every zapateado.” We teach the dance traditions of our ancestors from Mexico and perform original choreographies that speak of the Mexican-American experience as choreographed by our artistic director. This is a group that performs the folkloric dances of Mexico for the Laredo and surrounding communities. Participants learn a variety of dances that accompany the differ

ent regional areas of Mexico. Through dance performance, participants and spectators alike learn about Mexico’s cultural heritage.
