48 Hour Film Project - Laredo, Texas
The 48 Hour Film Project was created by Mark Ruppert in 2001. As a filmmaker, Mark wanted to challenge filmmakers to see what they can do in a single weekend. The results have been phenomenal as the 48 Hour Film Project has found a place in 130 cities and around the world with more than 325,000 people having participated to date, creating more than 25,000 films.
The wiling films will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2021 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2021 Short Film Corner.
Roxanne Peña, a Laredo filmmaker, has been signed on as a City Producer for its Inaugural debut in Laredo, Texas. We are in search of locations filmmakers local and beyond can use for their 48 hour Film Project. We’ll keep you updated when registration begins for our July 31 - August 3, 2020 48 Hour Film Project weekend.
