Merry Christmas everyone! i wanted to share something awesome my husband and i created today. my husband made the cross out of wood & i hand painted the gospel story on it
God made a good and holy earth and the spirit of the Lord hovered over the waters (top)
Humanity chose sin in the garden of eden by believing the lie of the serpent & ate of the forbidden tree (left) thus separating creation (us) from our creator (God) .
many years later. because of His great love for us, God came down in the form of a baby, he was born of a virgin & reached out to us through his son Jesus and stepped into this sinful earth in humility, in a manger (middle)
He humbly rode in on a donkey as the people waved palms shouting “hosanna in the highest” acknowledging Christ our Savior (right)
God’s creation— in sin, wretchedness and wickedness pierced Jesus on the cross, placed a crown or thorns on his head, beat, mocked, and whipped him because he proclaimed to be the Messiah & he carried his own cross & bled out on it for the forgiveness of our sin— he paid the price that we could never pay. Jesus bridged the gap between a sinful people and a perfect God. before he took his final breath, he said “it is finished” (middle)
to put his dead & lifeless body to rest, Jesus Christ was placed in a tomb.. BUT GOD, on the third day, rose Him from the grave, he resurrected, rolled the stone way & deposited the holy spirit in all who believe in him. and we now await his return for His beloved bride (us, the church) ❤️
this is the Christmas story, the Easter story, the every day story to share with others & live in light of Him, his sacrifice, and his resurrection- he is our forever hope. 🙏🏼🥹
