Check out this pair of CHAMPION belt buckles. They were created as winning prizes for an upcoming powwow special contest.

Fully beaded with size 13/0 charlotte cuts and accented with size 11/0 24 karat gold cut beads, these pieces sparkle and shine in the light.

Finished with a brain tanned moose hide backing, the aroma they carry is absolutely divine.

These buckles are excellent heirlooms for their future owners to wear as a trophy of their accomplishments.

Beading in real time.

Watch as I two-needle embroider beads to this heavy duty interfacing with cotton fabric fused to the back. I am using size 12/0 long beading needles and size 0 Nymo thread covered in beeswax and thread conditioner. The beads are size 12/0 charlotte cuts and the music is DJ Bridge playing the cuts. 🙌🏾

This video shows the time and effort it takes to cover about 3 inches of distance on a single line of beads. To complete this project, I will have to multiply that effort 100 times over minimum.

Hence, rhythm and flow state whilst beading are key factors to the enjoyment part of the process. ✊🏾🙌🏾✨

I often make a mini version of a project before making the actual one I want. This helps me understand the full process and make improvements to my approach with the larger creation.

Witnessing the transformation of an idea into a physical creation is one of the coolest things to experience. It’s even cooler when that creation journeys out into the world and begins its story with a new owner.

Beaded Ball Caps for the win. 😍🤩

As I prepare to teach others how to add beaded embellishments to their ball caps, I’m having a bit of fun playing with design techniques myself.

I’m excited to show others tips, tools, and tricks they can use to decorate their own ball caps. What’s even cooler is that those same methods and materials can be used on many other beaded embellishment projects, like decorating wide brim western hats or even graduation caps.
