Join us at Fox Park Thursday, June 25, 6PM, for Dance Rock band Mysteria!
Instead of a preconcert event, Mysteria has opted to perform from 6-8:30PM with a short intermission for poetry, national anthem, and announcements at 6:45.
The evening will also include a poetry reading by Holden McCready, an art exhibit by Jami Jackson, the national anthem performed by Candace Archer, and facepainting with Joyful Creations!

What a wonderful evening at Arts in the Park! The Oscos kicked off the night with a showcase of tremendous talent, sharing pop hits and some of their original music with enthusiasm and grace during our preconcert. Whitehorse Tribute Band followed with an exceptional tribute to Chris Stapleton, delivering favorite songs that had the crowd thoroughly entertained.

Under perfect weather and a fantastic turnout, Fox Park was truly the place to be tonight. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors—the Health Foundation of La Porte, Unity Foundation of La Porte County, Carolyn Pahs, Jimmy John’s, and Newby Lewis Kaminski & Jones—for making tonight possible- plus this week’s concession volunteers from La Porte County Republican Party. All the combined support helps keep Arts in the Park free and accessible for our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to seeing you again next week!

Despite the thunderstorms, tonight’s Maria Fruth Dedication Ceremony and LaPorte City Band community-themed concert were a wonderful celebration of our hometown.

Thank you to La Porte High School for making this evening possible, to Maria and Greg Fruth for their lasting impact on our community, and to everyone who braved the weather to join us. Your support, spirit, and love for La Porte made the night truly special.

On our June 17, Wednesday night 7:00 concert at the LaPorte High School Performing Arts Center, we will be paying tribute to LaPorte in many ways. We are honored to perform “The Gunness Mystery”, written by Bruce Johnson, arranged by Joe Clark.
At the concert this piece will be directed by its arranger, Joe Clark.

At this week’s concert we will also be featuring soloist, Nick Oss.
Nick will be singing “You Raise Me
Up” by Brendon Graham and Rolf Lovland , arranged by Jerry Lackey.
Nick has been singing in choirs since starting with the Singing Company of La Porte in second grade. He currently sings in the La Porte High School choir, and he has participated in the Indiana All State Honor Choir for 3 years. He participates in musical theater at the La Porte Little Theater and at La Porte High School, and he is preparing to play Chad in Descendants the Musical at the Little Theater. Additionally, he will be performing in Hoosier Star with the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra this September.
