Bonnie Quigley has been one of the heartbeats of the La Porte Little Theatre for decades, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who has had the privilege of knowing her. Please join us as we celebrate Bonnieâs remarkable life, her years of friendship, and her extraordinary contributions to our theatre.
Bonnie directed dozens of productions, created and altered thousands of costumes, and helped shape generations of performers and volunteers - but it was her kindness, warmth, humor (with a touch of sass), and unwavering love for this theatre that made her truly one of a kind.
Bonnie welcomed every new member of the LTC family with her famous smile, and before long they were under her wing. A trusted friend and mentor to so many, she was always there to lend an ear, offer a hug, share a laugh, impart wisdom, or offer encouragement.
Our hearts are broken at her loss, but we are deeply grateful for every rehearsal, performance, conversation, and memory we were blessed to share with our dear Bonnie.
Our love and deepest condolences are with her beloved husband, Dan; her children, Rose, Joe, Buck, and Katy Gartland; her grandchildren; and her entire family. Many in our community will recognize Katy and the Gartland family, who have become staples of La Porte Little Theatre through years of dedicated service. Their commitment to LTC and its volunteers reflects Bonnieâs example of love and dedication to this theatre.
Bonnie, you taught us what it means to serve with kindness, welcome others with open arms, and love community theatre wholeheartedly. LTC will never be quite the same without you, but your impact lives on in so many of us. Thank you for helping to make this theatre a home for so many.
We invite our Little Theatre family and friends to share photos, stories, and memories of Bonnie in the comments below, creating a collection of love and laughter for her family to cherish and a reminder of the lasting mark she left on our theatre community.
