Only this weekend!

The sleepy town of Popcorn Falls is forced into bankruptcy when a neighboring town threatens to turn them into a sewage treatment plant. Their only hope – open a theater! Two actors play over twenty roles in a world of farce, love, and desperation, proving once and for all that art can save the world.

Stone’s Throw Theater produced this play a few years ago and had to bring it back as an audience favorite as we present in our new facility in downtown Metamora. “we needed a show that not only embraced the Metamora Old Town Hall, but was also witty and a proven audience favorite.” “I learned of this show a few years ago and immediately started doing research and reading the script. I have to say that from the moment I picked up the script and started reading, I had tears running down my face as I imagined the play unfold in my mind.

Now the most difficult part – find two actors that had the chops to pull this monumental feat off. I know we have found them and as soon as I had secured the rights and had the commitment from the actors we were a go!” Said Stroh. “This play requires actors to have impeccable timing, multiple voice characterizations and physical endurance. I am convinced that this is a play that will literally have audiences howling!

Under the direction of Tony Stroh the cast features veteran performers from mid-Michigan, both that have graced the stage with STT and are returning to reprise the rolls in this production. The Cast includes Jordan Climie and Donovan Leary!

Popcorn Falls will take place on Friday and Saturday nights, April 24 and 25 at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoon, April 26 at 2 PM with Ticket prices $22 for General and $20 for Senior Student and Military presented at the Metamora Old Town Hall

Love is in the air!

We are thrilled to announce that this year's Valentine's Dinner Show Cabaret at Stone's Throw Theater is going to be a night to remember! Join us on Saturday, February 14th for an enchanting evening featuring the legendary Sheila Landis and Rick Matle as they take the stage with their mesmerizing jazz performance. Not only will you be treated to soul-stirring music, but you'll also indulge in a delectable dinner that sets the perfect mood for romance! Don’t miss out on this incredible experience—mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate love with us!

A bit about the Duo...

Vocalist SHEILA LANDIS teamed up with 7-string guitarist RICK MATLE in 1991, sensing a kindred musical spirit. Together they continue to explore jazz balladry, bebop, blues and country music, poetic excursions, Brazilian rhythms, funky/pop/classic rock and their own inventive collaborations at every performance--elegant yet edgy. Matle, a 1986 Oakland University Music Performance Graduate, combines a rocker's bravado with the jazzman's sensitivity and harmonic stretch to provide a buoyant springboard from which Landis launches her melodic flights, earning her the accolade of "Outstanding Jazz Vocalist" seven times, as bestowed by the Detroit Music Awards. In a quest to alter her tonal palette and extend her creative reach, Landis has begun to add credible vocal imitations of the trumpet and the harmonica to her jazz solos in addition to playing a variety of Latin percussion instruments. Initially inspired by the duets of Tuck and Patti, Landis and Matle similarly stretch musical boundaries and continue to inspire and challenge each other, making each performance a new adventure.

The Menu:
Just like Lady and the Tramp, Our menu will be fit for lovers with a Baked Vegetarian Pasta, Antipasti Salad and fresh garlic bread. All created by the talented Marko Bours.
