The Return of Popcorn Falls!
The sleepy town of Popcorn Falls is forced into bankruptcy when a neighboring town threatens to turn them into a sewage treatment plant. Their only hope – open a theater! Two actors play over twenty roles in a world of farce, love, and desperation, proving once and for all that art can save the world.
Stone’s Throw Theater produced this play a few years ago and had to bring it back as an audience favorite as we present in our new facility in downtown Metamora. “we needed a show that not only embraced the Metamora Old Town Hall, but was also witty and a proven audience favorite.” “I learned of this show a few years ago and immediately started doing research and reading the script. I have to say that from the moment I picked up the script and started reading, I had tears running down my face as I imagined the play unfold in my mind.
Now the most difficult part – find two actors that had the chops to pull this monumental feat off. I know we have found them and as soon as I had secured the rights and had the commitment from the actors we were a go!” Said Stroh. “This play requires actors to have impeccable timing, multiple voice characterizations and physical endurance. I am convinced that this is a play that will literally have audiences howling!
Under the direction of Tony Stroh the cast features veteran performers from mid-Michigan, both that have graced the stage with STT and are returning to reprise the rolls in this production. The Cast includes Jordan Climie and Donovan Leary!
Popcorn Falls will take place on Friday and Saturday nights, April 24 and 25 at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoon, April 26 at 2 PM with Ticket prices $22 for General and $20 for Senior Student and Military presented at the Metamora Old Town Hall
