Sensory Night at Jacks Unleashed is at the Ingham County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center (700 E. Ash Street, Mason) on October 14 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Event closes at 9:00 p.m. This event is a family friendly Halloween event featuring more than 5,000 hand carved jack o' lanterns in about 30 themes and scenes. For sensory night, there will be no music or flashing lights. There are some scenes that have twinkling lights, but no strobes. Costumes are encouraged but not required! : Arrive between 730pm-830pm. Event ends at 9pm. Admission is $5.00 per person, cash or credit at the gate. Ages 12 & under are free. We can offer financial assistance if needed. This month marks THREE years since the Capital City Market started their Sensory Friendly Mornings on the second Saturday of the month from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The store is open, but we have been told this time is not super busy! It's a great time to practice those shopping skills!

We have partnered with the Mid Michigan Autism Association to bring sensory-friendly shopping hours to Capital City Market. Beginning on October 14th, and continuing on the second Saturday of each month from 8:30am-10am, we are creating a sensory-friendly environment by dimming the lights and turning off in-store music.
