BACKGROUND:

Current Director/Owner Vanessa McNutt, (daughter of Rhonda Mitchell) Started Training under Rhonda & Patsy Ceccehetti method, & Royal Academy method in 1991. As she continued her studies, in 2011 begin teaching. Vanessa has studied in New York City, Travers City, Detroit, Las Vegas & many local conventions. IN 2016 Vanessa began the studios first competition team, which as won multiple first place awards, over all placements, Title dancers & special awards. Patsy Watsons School of Dance opened on Cedar Street in 1951 and is one of the first studios in Lansing and has given the foundation to most studios around the City of Lansing and Look forward to teaching this generation of dancers!

- Founder Patsy Watson had an - M.R.A.D London England; A.S.I.T.D in Musical Comedy, Tap, & Ballroom; Teachers Certificate of Cecchetti Method of Classical Ballet; Former member of the Cecchetti Council of America. In memory (July 6,2021)
- Previous Owner & Patsy's daughter Rhonda Mitchell - had her Teachers Certificate of Ceccehtti Method of Classical Ballet; Studied in London England, New York City & Detroit. Rhonda was a Former member of the Hairline Ballet Company.

One of the first dance studios in Lansing , and that a women and family owned business in the 50’s that’s pretty cool!
