Getting used to the new tablet set-up. I was feeling pretty calm and happy about stream being fixed, so....uhhhhh......it was beautiful boy time.

This is Fury, for those who are new around here. He is a character I have poured much of my religious trauma and grief into, and he will carry that through the story that I have been writing since 2020.

What originally started out as a comic idea became too much for what my wheelhouse is - I just don't have comic panel brain. But I do really enjoy writing. So, I decided to switch gears. This fall we'll be hunkering down to actually write instead of worrying how to panel a comic.

The art will come as we go. I have ideas for cinematic looking art pieces for titular moments in the story, but I had been really struggling to show the in-between moments.

For now, enjoy a brief moment of peace for this guy here. He's gonna need it.

Stream has been fixed! We've got dogs! We've got a new mic and better sound! We've got a working tablet!

I'm so thankful for my community who helped me get sound adjusted last night on stream - tentative stream sometime before next Monday - we're busy as the last week of summer vacay is upon us. But once the husband goes back to work for the year, we should have a schedule again.

West Michigan Oddfest
Sunday October 11th from 10am to 5pm

Where we are bringing our weird & odd community together in Kalamazoo Mi. Partnering up with Punk Rustic Farms
to bring you this unique event at the Kalamazoo Expo Center. We will be renting out the South building to share some amazing talented people with you.

There will be a consume contest with prizes for the winners.
Raffling off prizes to help the community.

This is a perfect pre Halloween event.

Looking for odd/ weird hand made talent.
Taxidermy. Bones, Bug, Wet Specimens, Cryptids, Halloween art, Books, Authors, Paintings, and much more.
Food vendors. Looking for single packaged items per cottage law.
Booths must be 90% spooky, unusual or Odd.

I'm switching creative hats to host the afterparty starting at 11PM. The event starts at 2PM, your GA ticket to the event covers the afterparty!

My twitch community showered me with subscriptions last week and unlocked a new goal - a new overlay. I've been teasing them about how I "don't draw animals" yet most often I end up drawing pet portraits, weird lil animal guys, and anthropomorphic characters (I just accepted an art trade and I'm drawing a cat person...)

Stream has become all about dogs. Bark bark bark.

I'm doing an overhaul on what stream looks like because I've been having sound issues, too, so stream is under construction for the next week while I get it both looking and sounding good again.

New event acceptance just dropped!

I'm so excited to announce I made the West Michigan Oddfest on Sunday, October 11th in Kalamazoo!

I'll be bringing the spooky with a special 8x10 Pumpkin Lady print you haven't seen in a while, a Halloween coloring pack, and perhaps more prints of lil weird animal guys (dependent on how many get painted between now and then.)

I'll keep on posting about the event until we get there!

The Crooked Nook MI Fundraiser was wonderful! I was able to bring a friend to help table with me and she made the event that much better! I was in the middle of a migraine when I was packing up which was not a great way to start the day. But medicine and friendship helped immensely.

The "Jimothy" and "Gumbus" prints were the greatest success so I have to thank my twitch community for bullying me into painting weird lil guys. 😆

I made a new vendor friend and we're doing an art trade - I'll do a shout out when I get home and get a picture of the wonderful witchy decor she made.

For my favorite part, my commissions! I love painting the day of. Unfortunately, I had been having a migraine on and off so it was dicey on whether I was going to be able to do anything at the time - but the client was patient and accepted having it sent to them when I was finished. So I will be off to the post office sometime this week!

I learned A LOT from this event.
