I wanna tell you a bit about what's coming next.
Partying in the Paracosm 5: The Entire Day.
What is a Paracosm?
A paracosm is a detailed, complex, and deeply felt imaginary world created by an individual, usually beginning in childhood and often continuing into adulthood. These worlds are characterized by elaborate details such as invented geographies, histories, cultures, and languages, acting as a vivid, persistent form of daydreaming, relaxation, or emotional coping.
Music has always been a part of me. A big part of my identity has always been with a musician. So naturally, the Paracosm that is within my mind is music related, party related. And I am even writing a book about it.
I wanted to take some time to talk about some of the locations that a lot of my music folders are named after because they do consist of these geographies and cultures as described in the definition above.
Partying in the Paracosm 5 will be an extended look into these "places".
Todayland-
Inspired by Theater de Antique in France and Tomorrowland from the mid 2010s, named as a Parody of the festival I dream of playing at, this is a place where the Afternoon is eternal, The vibes are Mystical, and the Sounds are Big.
You'll hear songs like "Kollective Trumstrasse- Ribbon Reef" or "Anakin- Return to Forever" that make you feel like you are on a Fantastical Journey through a Mystical Forest. You'll see Fairies, ogres, Dragons And all types of beings from places like Lord of the Rings and Eragon.
There are Freeway systems known as the Outer states, A Play on the word Interstate. And the Freeways are also similar in vibes based off times of days. This is where your Jungle/ Drum and Bass can be found blasting as you careen down the road at Mach 5 speeds. It feels like Driving in a Time Lapse.
Outerstate 16, Radiance Road- You ever been on a Field trip in school on a bright sunny day? Or a road trip with your friends? Going to Cedar Point? This Road is all about the Drive There. You'll hear songs like "Justin Hawkes- Dreambend" or "inmost ft Ruth Royall- Back to the Sun"
Outerstate 32, Dusk Drive- Kind of the Parallel to Radiance road. This is about the Drive Home. It's night time, just after sunset, people in the backseat are tired, you're sleepy but you gotta get everybody home Safe.
Songs like " Calibre- Carry Me Away" or " Changer- Worthy"
Da Warehouse - I'm sure some of you are Familiar with this one by now. But think of all the footage/ clips from old school techno Raves. You'll most definitely hear "Ramiro Lopez- Warehous" 😁😁😜😜😜
Groove Cathedral- A Giant Church that's been completely converted into a Nightclub. You'll hear all types of soulful Deep House, Groovy Songs that make you feel like you're in New York in the 80s and 90s.
You'll hear songs like "Alex Agore- Delusional" or "Kerri Chandler- Love me"
There are many more locations to be discovered within this ever expanding universe. But I just wanted to give you a glimpse into the Mind of DatGuyBlue.
The characters, the Lore. It all gets deep.
