Did you know we are South Carolina's first creative reuse center? If you don't know what a creative reuse center is... it's a place where donated materials like fabric, paper, craft supplies, and more get a second life in the hands of makers, teachers, and artists instead of ending up in a landfill!

We are so excited to bring this movement to SC. Come see what we are all about!

Owning a quilt shop isn't an easy job.

Sometimes it's opening the shop doors when you're tired.

Working when your hands hurt because they need the quilt by Friday for a graduation, wedding, or new baby and brought it in at the last minute.

Helping a fellow quilter figure out what the pattern writer meant by all that yadda yadda yadda.

Trying new things before recommending them to your customers.

Did our shop start out teaching quilting and health tips?

No.

That was 20 years ago, before I discovered the missing piece of the puzzle that allows me to still cut fabric without hurting and allows my brain to decipher the yadda yadda yadda that used to feel confusing.

That's why you may overhear us talking about different projects and what we're working on... or how we slept the night before.

Because it's about helping other quilters enjoy their time quilting without the aches, pains, and frustrations that can get in the way of doing what they love.

After all, quilting should be about creativity, friendship, and the joy of making something beautiful.

Not worrying about whether your hands, back, or energy levels will cooperate.

I know what it's like when your hands hurt after cutting fabric all day.

I also know what it's like when they don't.

In our shop, we teach quilting and how to feel better because we found the missing piece.

Need help with a quilt project?

Finish It Friday is the best day to stop by.

Curious about the missing piece that allows me to still cut fabric, garden, and travel?

It's almost time!

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Have you planned your route yet?

With 13 shops and several exciting new stops this year, itโ€™s time to start mapping your adventure.

Will you go clockwise?
Take the scenic route?
Or just follow the fabric and see where the day takes you? ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿš—

A little planning means more time for fabric, fun, and collecting clues for The Great Quilt Heist.

Tell us โ€” are you a careful route planner, or a โ€œjust start driving and see what happensโ€ kind of hopper? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Quilters love to ask me how I do what I do!

Have you ever put a quilt project aside because your brain got overloaded, the grand kids are coming so you had to clean up, or you are so frustrated you want to toss it in the trash?

Us women over 60 have similar issues.

You talk to me about missing out on life, travel, gardening, quilting all day in our jammies.

We want to enjoy the little things God has blessed us with.

And honestly?

That's why I do what I do.
I help women have more good quilting days.

More energy.

More adventures.

More life.

I have a program you should consider to stop sitting on the sidelines and start enjoying life again. Click the link below.

Suspect #5

๐Ÿ” SUSPECT PROFILE: Day 5 โ€“ Penelope the Pattern ๐Ÿ”

Our final suspect is the one who puts the pieces together... or pulls them apart.

๐Ÿ‘ค SUSPECT: Penelope the Pattern
๐Ÿ“œ KNOWN ALIASES: "The Blueprint Boss," "Penny Presser"
โš ๏ธ THE ACCUSATION: Penelope designs the mazes and writes the rules. She knows exactly how every block fits into the grand scheme. Did she write the ultimate guide to the perfect crime? Her instructions seem orderly, but we think there's a hidden code in her diagrams!

The case file is fully open! Grab your passport, pick your partners-in-crime, and help all 13 shops solve the mystery from July 16-25!

Gorgemous-This is the new word we came up with today at sit and sew. What does it mean?

1. Gorgemous: That magical point where you stop seeing the stitches and start hearing angels sing.

2. Gorgemous = Gorgeous ร— 10

3. Gorgemous=The state achieved when great fabric, great piecing, and great quilting come together in perfect harmony.

Feel free to use this to describe your quilts!

At Elaine's Attic, we don't settle for gorgeous. We aim for gorgemous!
