My studio will never be Pinterest-perfect.

I try not to waste a single piece of glass. Every shard, every sliver, every odd shape gets tucked away because one day… it will belong somewhere.

Scraps are my favorite. They’re unpredictable. They hold little stories from past projects. Stained glass is messy. It’s loud. It’s tiny cuts and colorful chaos.
And honestly?
Walking into this explosion of color first thing in the morning fills me with excitement every single time.

A few goldfinches have landed . These wall birds love perching on shelves, frames, and trim.
Goldfinches symbolize joy, resilience, and brightness even in changing seasons… and honestly, I think we could all use a little more of that on our walls.

Today’s studio magic: a flock in the making ✨
My mountain bluebirds, magpies, and goldfinches are officially all cut out and ready for their next transformation. Each little glass feather is still a bit rough around the edges, but that’s part of the process — next up comes grinding every curve, giving each piece a good wash, and wrapping them in copper foil so they’re ready to be soldered into their final form.
I love this stage. It’s messy, colorful, a bit chaotic but full of promise — tiny shards slowly turning into tiny souls with wings. 💛💙🖤
