So....if the school board told you, we are moving your child to a new school where they knew no one, no opportunity to appeal, and then you found out that Superintendent and his minions were all lying that you actually did have an opportunity to appeal. How would you feel about your elected officials? Comments anyone?

Hi there, my name is Christie Zimmer and I am running for County Commissioner for District 2. my family moved to Land O' Lakes in 1969. my mother served on the school board as well as a County Commissioner. She was a true public servant and not a politician and she taught me well! I have been serving on the Citizen Advisory Committee for the Metropolitan planning Organization for Pasco County for over 20 years. this is a voluntary position. we can give our advice all day long to the MPO board which is also the BOCC. There are many issues to discuss that have not been properly addressed. I am not here to become a career politician, I'm 60. I'm up against what I've been threatened with, "the big guns". I would like to bring back community Town meetings so the public can be heard when it comes to big changes to our comp plan and our communities. So if you are an elected official and you are appointed to serve on a commission, you get the schedule a year at a time, how do you have a "conflict" and can't attend the meeting?

How as an elected official, do you schedule a meeting with a neighborhood and public works, and just not show up?

How do you agree to speak at a political club and show up an hour late?

How do you agree to speak at a Veterans club and just not show up?

Why Do we keep electing these people? This is the definition of insanity and it needs to be stopped!
