๐ This May, the message of Dear Evan Hansen reached far beyond the stage.
Our cast members and musicians โalongside Fulton Theatre Executive Artistic Producer Marc Robin and mental health professionals from Ponessa Behavioral Health, Mental Health America of Lancaster County, and Penn Medicine LGHโvisited JP McCaskey, Hempfield, and Manheim Township high schools. ๐๐
๐ The Impact:
๐ฅ 600+ Students (grades 9-12) engaged in vital, open discussions.
๐ฃ๏ธ Crucial Conversations on social isolation, depression, anxiety, and su***de awareness.
๐ถ A Shared Song: Choir members from Hempfield and McCaskey even joined the cast to perform a powerful rendition of "You Will Be Found."
Seeing these students open up, support one another, and lift their voices together was a deeply rewarding experience. Theater has the power to start conversations that save lives. โค๏ธ
๐ค This meaningful outreach was made possible by the incredible generosity of our sponsors and partners:
๐๏ธ Ponessa Behavioral Health (Production Sponsor)
๐ The Steinman Foundation (Community Engagement Sponsor)
๐ Community Partners: Compass Mark, Mental Health America of Lancaster County, and Penn Medicine LGH.
Thank you for helping us remind Lancaster's youth that they are never alone. ๐ค๐
