February is my favorite month! My birthday kicks off BHM, and y’all keep me booked and busy doing purposeful work. There’s no better way to celebrate my life and gifts than by sharing them with the community. They tried to say BHM would fade away, but our history is American history—and I’ll always be part of its amplification and preservation, whether they acknowledge it or not.

✨ 2/1: presents Expressions of Strength: A Celebration of Black Art & History—a collaboration with featuring a pop-up bookshop of stories by Black authors often hidden, silenced, or erased. The shop runs through March! Opening reception 6:30PM.Free event!
✨ 2/7:Young Voices, Big Dreams—a youth conference empowering middle & high schoolers. My wife and I are leading a Choreopoem workshop. Free event!
✨ 2/9:Feel the Love Open Mic at Tellus360 (2–4PM) with .kinsey ! Featuring . Raffles + fun prizes. I’ll be in my Eagles uniform because we’re going to the Super Bowl!!! 💚Free event!
✨ 2/11: Penn Medicine LGH DEI Dept Marginalization and Mental Health Panel—Exploring racism, systemic inequities & mental health in Black & Brown communities. I’ll be performing + on a panel with powerful voices/healers/leaders in our community. 6PM–8PM.Free event!
✨ 2/14: Mended Hearts Valentine’s Launch—a powerful night of music, poetry, and healing. Mended Hearts is more than a brand, it is a reminder that every broken heart deserves to be put back together. It is seeing the humanity in ourselves and others and healing hearts that deserve to be mended whole. 8PM–11PM.
✨ 2/19: Griot’s Garden Open Mic powered by ! Featuring ! Moving forward, Griot’s Garden will be a fundraiser to raise money to move on to our next chapter of A Concrete Rose. Use code EARLYBIRD for ticket discount until 2/1
