Important update regarding The Complete History of America (Abridged):
Due to the rapidly changing state of America, the script will now be updated before every performance to include whatever happened that afternoon.
That means no two shows will be the same.
And frankly, no one involved is emotionally prepared.

What do Jeopardy!, Taco Bell, Ponce de León, and Thaddeus Stevens have in common?
They all made history this week in America. And honestly, that feels appropriately unhinged.
The Complete History of America (Abridged)
A little chaotic. Slightly absurd. 100% American.

What do a giant fish, an accordion, toy binoculars, and an inflatable globe have in common?
They’re all part of the beautifully absurd world of The Complete History of America (Abridged).
In honor of World Theatre Day, here’s a little behind-the-scenes peek at the props beginning to gather for the show. Because sometimes history is best told with a little chaos.

Obligations and rote routines eat up so much time. But life’s too short for all that blandness. You were made for something more. A life that is truly alive.
We invite you to break the mold and go after all the beauty you can. Invigorate your life with fresh theatrical experiences.
Founded in 2010 by Mitch and Diana Nugent, Prima is dedicated to producing fresh theatrical experiences that invigorate lives. This steadfast focus began with the region’s finest talent coming together for cabarets at Prince Street Cafe. The organization then went on to stage performances at 15 local venues before establishing a home venue in 2018.
Prima’s boutique musicals, theatrical concerts, and special events offer audiences an engaging and dynamic cultural outlet. Attracting both performing arts patrons and those who do not normally attend live theatre, much of Prima’s loyal patron base is decades younger than the national average for theatre-goers. Prima’s NextGen Initiative offers subsidized tickets to local youth and their families, master classes for aspiring performers, and hands-on internships, helping create a new generation of culturally engaged citizens.
Guest artists include Tony and Grammy winners, including Stephen Schwartz, Billy Porter, Alice Ripley, Jason Robert Brown, Josefina Scaglione, Shoshana Bean, and Adam Pascal. Notable productions include Chess, First Date, The Last Five Years, Tick Tick Boom, Big Fish, Elton John’s Aida, Children of Eden, Jekyll & Hyde, and Disenchanted.
Lancaster is becoming an increasingly vibrant place due to the many companies, organizations, and individuals investing in the city’s community and culture. Prima is honored to be a part of Lancaster’s blossoming cultural vitality.
