Wait… Lancaster was the Capital of the United States? 🇺🇸
Believe it or not, it’s true.
On September 27, 1777, Lancaster became the nation’s capital for exactly one day. It may have been brief, but it’s a story worth remembering… and celebrating.
This September, we’re bringing that story back to life with Capital Day, a community celebration filled with historic experiences, local vendors, delicious food, family activities, live entertainment, and plenty of Lancaster pride.
We are pairing up with locals who love Lancaster (like Christine Halliday✨ Travel & Lifestyle of Wonder ) to get the word out and bring us all together to celebrate! 🎉
Whether you’re a lifelong local or discovering Lancaster for the first time, we’d love for you to be part of it.
