How my brain works...
It's almost always processing info and spitting out ideas.
Then I sort them into now, later, or probably not ready for the world, yet!
Here was a later thought that I recently had that I would like to share now.
Religion has attributed to many of the wars, suffering, and death in our world, purely "in God's name." This is a fact. I am a Christian, therefore I speak from a standpoint of a Christian. Also a fact.
I do my due diligence to understand other religions, and I know many things about Judaism, and much less about Hinduism, and Islam. I am continuing my studies on all of them as well as Buddhism which is the philosophy that I follow, that coincide with the Values and Commandments of Jesus Christ.
Today we fight more with words about Christianity than we do with fists, rocks, or swords. This doesn't mean that it will not escalate to guns and bombs in the near future. I know many people that I believe they are fighting a Holy war in their hearts and minds. As a Christian, I feel this is highly unChrist-like, or Christian in scripture. I welcome your insight.
The Inquisition of the 12th century is a perfectly horrific example of this. Killing in the name of the Trinity. Ironically, here we are in the 21st century with a significant number of Christians preparing for a Holy war against many precieved evils again.
So your Buddy Dave did a silly old Google and asked the great Wizzard of AI this question...
Does the Bible tell us to fight other people?
