The 8th Annual Holocaust Arts Contest will conclude with the awards presentation!

It takes place this coming Tuesday, May 3, at 6 PM in the board room of the new high school district office located at 176 Holston Dr. in Lancaster. This event is free to the public. Please join us!

Showcasing some of our past awards ceremonies!

2022 is our 8th Annual Arts Contest! The pandemic has not stopped us from continuing the contest and awarding our students. We've held drive by awards ceremonies and formal ceremonies at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center and at Lancaster High School's theater.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES for the HAC!

All student art work is due March 31st, 2022!
Contest judging will take place April 13, 2022!
Awards Event will take place May 3rd, with the location TBD. Keep an eyeout on this page for further announcements! 🙂

Who can participate in the HAC?: All Antelope Valley highschool students!

We have several categories of art work that can be submitted! Including:
2D- painting and drawing
3D- sculpture
Performing Arts- Dance, Music, and Drama
Spoken and Written Word- Technology/Multimedia

This year, we also are having a special illustrations category! Holocaust survivor Eva Pomerantz Weiser wrote 3 poems to her son and students are asked to submit illustrations for each of these poems. The 3 winners will be featured in a published book featuring Eva's poems!
