We were blessed to be able to present a check for $10,000 to Bible2School from the proceeds of "Simon Says"! We are so grateful for the opportunity to support them as they bring Biblical truth and the message of God's love to the children they serve.

A huge thank you to our audience for coming out to see the shows, as well as to our cast and crew for their dedication and hard work in sharing their talent with us. Most of all, we are thankful for God's constant guidance and provision. All glory to Him!

Promise Players will put on "Simon Says: The Rockin' Trial of Simon Pete" at showtimes on March 12 through 15 and March 19 through 22 at Lampeter Church of the Brethren, with proceeds from the show benefiting Bible2School.

"Simon Peter is on trial, so it takes place in a courtroom," said director Dorothy Smith, a Salunga resident who has been with Promise Players since 2012. "He's on trial for claiming that Jesus is the Son of God, the prophesied Messiah, and they call witnesses in who had contact with Jesus. The witnesses come and testify to how they were (impacted) by Jesus."

Is acting one of your resolutions for 2026? Then we hope you'll join us for auditions for our spring musical, "Simon Says: The Rockin’ Trial of Simon Peter".

Simon Peter is on trial for claiming Jesus was God on earth, sent for me and you. Can he prove it? Join us as we hear many eyewitness testimonies in the trial that people on the street have dubbed the case of Simon Says. There are plenty of recognizable characters (although we do have a little fun with their “character”) and a wide variety of classic rock-style songs filled with catchy lyrics and toe-tapping rhythms.

Auditions will be held at Lampeter Church of the Brethren, 1900 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, PA 17602 on Sunday, January 11, 2026, between 2:00 and 7:00 pm.

There are 20+ speaking roles and/or solos, as well as large group singing. Roles are available for ages 2nd grade through senior citizens. Come prepared to read from the script, demonstrate vocal range, and sing one verse of Amazing Grace. You may arrive early to complete the audition form and look over the audition scenes.
