In rodeo, we know the meaning of grit, courage, and sacrifice and today we remember the heroes who showed all three in service to our nation.

Some thank yous carry a little more weight—and this is one of them.

We want to recognize Diamond Cross Rodeo Company, who has been part of this rodeo for over 10 years.

Even though this is only our second year fully working together under the rodeo association, the relationship, trust, and foundation that’s been built over time means everything to us.

What a lot of people don’t see is the time and effort that goes in long before rodeo week ever gets here. The phone calls, the planning, the conversations behind the scenes—all to make sure that when the gates open, everything is set for a great rodeo.

And that’s exactly what y’all help make happen.

From the quality of the stock to the guidance and support along the way, you don’t just show up—you’re invested in making this rodeo the best it can be.

That kind of partnership is rare, and it’s something we are truly grateful for.

There are some thank yous that are hard to put into words… and this is one of them.

We want to recognize Open Gate Cowboy Church for the incredible role you played in this year’s Riata Roundup Rodeo.

From the prayers shared before the rodeo each night—you could feel the meaning behind every word. It set the tone for something bigger than just an event.

To the two who sang the National Anthem so beautifully… it was one of those moments that makes you stop, take your hat off, and truly appreciate where you are.

And then there’s everything else…

The warm smiles at the gates, the way you welcomed every single person like they belonged there, and the care you put into feeding our sponsors—it didn’t go unnoticed. It was felt.

What you brought wasn’t just help—it was heart. It was faith. It was community.

And that’s what this rodeo is really about.

🎉 A SPECIAL THANK YOU 🎉

We need to take a moment and recognize Bar T Excavation and John Thompson in a big way.

With all the prep that goes into this arena, and especially with the rain we got earlier this week, we can honestly say… we owe it to John for making it possible for us to have a rodeo at all.

Long before anyone shows up, before the lights, the crowds, or the first run, there’s a lot of hard, behind-the-scenes work that has to be done, and John is right in the middle of it. He takes pride in that ground and puts in the kind of effort most folks will never fully see, but every contestant benefits from it.

On top of that, he serves on the rodeo board and continues to support this event as a sponsor.

That kind of commitment isn’t something you can teach; it comes from the heart.

We are beyond thankful for everything you do, John. This rodeo wouldn’t be the same without you.
