Congratulations to the Kissel family!

Their grey horse Little Social Roper better known as Rock won both the Men’s and Women’s Horse of the Year for the Central Rocky Mountain region.

It takes a special horse to be competitive in multiple events. Rock carried Kate and Jack to several championship rounds this season in the breakaway, tie down, and team roping.

Championship Sunday!

We usually highlight our student athletes but this week I want to highlight one of our equine athletes. The Kissel's grey horse "Rock" will be carrying both sister and brother back to the championship round. Kate Kissel teamed up with Rock in the breakaway to split 2/3 in the long round out of 104 competitors. Rock also helped Jack work his way to a 4th place split in the tie-down roping to earn a spot in the championship round.

Kate Kissel - Breakaway
Jack Kissel - Tie-down

Kendall Saylor will join Kate and Jack as he gets on his 2nd bull for the 2 head average.
