Welcome back Tigers!! Here are some important dates coming up!

September 1st: First troupe meeting! If you are a high schooler and are interested in participating in theatre this year, please come to this meeting. We will be discussing what we do, and what this year is going to look like!

September 3rd: Seussical Audition Informational Meeting. If you are a high schooler or middle schooler interested in auditioning for the fall musical, please come to this meeting to get all the details!

September 9th: Seussical Auditions!! Come audition for the fall musical. Make sure to have a song and monologue prepared. Any questions will be answered at the informational meeting.

We had our 2nd annual Stripe Awards Banquet this past Tuesday, where we got to honor the amazing students who put so much hard work into making this year special! I am so proud of them and all they have accomplished!

We inducted seven new members into LHS Troupe 7458 of the International Thespian Society: Annabell Furnas, Jeremiah Herbinger, Stella Gervais, Scarlet Stout, Abby Everhart, Aiyana Gonzalez, and Layne Cearnal!

Then, we were able to announce Troupe 7458’s officers for the 2026-27 school year!

Secretary: Stella Gervais
Historian: Abby Everhart

Next, we handed out awards for the season! These awards were voted on by their peers for their amazing work throughout the season.

Outstanding Technician: Aiyana Gonzalez for run/deck crew in Little Shop of Horrors

Outstanding Ensemble Member: Donna Rodebush for the Cook in Clue

Outstanding Vocal Performance: Halen Lock and Chase Law for Feed Me (Git It) in Little Shop of Horrors

Outstanding Supporting Actor: Chase Law for Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors

Outstanding Supporting Actress: Kileigh Ball for Yvette in Clue

Outstanding New Actor: Stella Gervais

Outstanding Lead Actress: Rosabel Shaver for Wadsworth in Clue

Outstanding Lead Actor: Halen Lock for Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors

Backbone of the Theatre: Halen Lock

Finally, we announced our shows for next year! Our musical next year will be Seussical: The Musical (combined with the middle school) and our play for next year will be 12 Angry Jurors!

Thank you all for your support. We could not do the things we do without the people who come see the shows and the parents who support their students in being a part of something special! 🎭

Any student who was involved in any theatrical activity this year is invited to the STRIPE Awards! This is our annual banquet where we will give out awards and announce next years shows. All students are invited to bring their families, the attire is formal, and it starts at 6pm!

DATE CHANGE ‼️ The Thespian meeting has been moved to next Wednesday, April 29th after school! If you participated in anything theatre related throughout the 2025-26 school year, please come! We are going to discuss banquet, awards, and elect officers for next year!

On behalf of all of us here at LHS Theatre, THANK YOU! We appreciate every single person that was able to come and see Clue: High School Edition. None of this would have been possible if it weren’t for all the support we receive from the community. These students are doing AMAZING things and I am so glad that people get to see it! 🫶🏼

Don’t forget that TODAY is your last day to come see the cast and crew of Clue: High School Edition in action! These students have worked so hard to put this show on for you all and you definitely don’t want to miss it!

And finally, the host of the show, Wadsworth played by Lamar Highschool Junior Rosabel Shaver. This is Rosabel’s fifth production with previous experience in The Odd Couple, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Newsies Jr., and Little Shop Of Horrors. Her favorite part of the rehearsal process is seeing the set go up and watching the whole cast and crew grow close together. She would like to thank Mrs. and Mr. Saviello for all their hard work they put into their shows. She would also like to thank her family for being so supportive in all her theatre endeavors. Come see Rosabel and find out whodunnit April 9th (tonight), 10th, and 12th.

Even our stuffed friends showed up for our “soft opening” of Clue last night!
