Happy Labor Day, Lakewood.

The rink is closed today — enjoy the cookout, the parade, the last real weekend of summer. We'll be back on the ice tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, with the normal schedule.

Parent & Tot at 10am, Adult Drop-In at 11am, and Open Skate Wednesday and Friday from noon to 2pm.

Short week on the front end, big week on the back end.

We're closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. Everything resumes Tuesday: Parent & Tot at 10am, Adult Drop-In at 11am, and Open Skate Wednesday and Friday from noon to 2pm. Friday Night Skate is on Friday the 11th at 7pm.

The big one: Fall Learn to Skate starts Saturday, September 12 at 9:30am. Levels close as they fill, so if you've been meaning to register, this is the week. Adult Learn to Skate Drop-In starts Sunday the 13th at 5:10pm.

One heads-up — we're hosting a hockey tournament Friday through Sunday, September 11-13. It's all on Rink 1, so every public session runs as scheduled, but the lot will be busy. Give yourself a few extra minutes.

$12 resident / $15 non-resident / $10 senior, and free for kids 3 and under. Skate rental included — just show up.

One heads-up: we're closed Sunday and Monday for the long weekend, so this is your best skate before the break.

Planning the long weekend? We're closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day, and there's no public skating Sunday, September 6.

Plenty of ice before then: Open Skate Wednesday and Friday from noon to 2pm, Friday Night Skate Friday at 7pm, and Saturday Open Skate at 12:10pm.

We're back to the normal schedule Tuesday, September 8.

Open Skate runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday, noon to 2pm — $10 for every skater, rental included. Parent & Tot is Tuesday and Thursday at 10am, Adult Drop-In follows at 11am, and Friday Night Skate is back at 7pm.

Two things to plan around: there's no public skating Sunday, September 6, and we're closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. Normal schedule resumes Tuesday, September 8.
