Grinning Cat Creations My embroidery style follows my whims but tends to come back to the humorous and ghoulish. I asked her to teach me how. Hopefully with this shop I can do both. :)

I learned the basics of hand-embroidery many years ago and I've loved exploring the art more fully with more complicated stitches, vibrant color, and new materials. My name's April and I live and love in Cleveland, Ohio with my husband, human child, and feline child. When I was little my grandmother had a tablecloth that each Christmas all of us grandkids would trace our hands on it and then Grand

ma would embroider it in whatever colors we picked. I was fascinated by the tiny little stitches she would make and her ability to take our shaky, childish pencil outlines and make them beautiful with color. After that, every Christmas, I would help Grandma embroider the tablecloth and it became our project that we did together. It made me feel so special and a part of something big. I love making things and I love making people smile.
