1870 Fire House Just outside Cincinnati, restored, rebuilt, and reused as Pizza Pub and owner's home. Another great example of regular people bring back historic architecture. Thanks for the link Carrie Kocian Boyer.

The Hilliard Square Theater CAN be saved. It is a solid building, structurally sound, with great bones, that does need a full restoration, a new roof, and the support of All good Lakewood residents.

About 2 weeks ago the City of Lakewood removed the Marque of the Theater for "safety reasons". Even going as far as torch cutting the steal beams that were securely embedded into the thick brick walls of the Theater, making it more difficult and expensive to replace the marque with an authentic reproduction of the original. Just one more step in the corrosion, extortion, and back door deals that are the way the City of Lakewood has done business in recent years.
If you live in Lakewood, maybe you'd like to call your council person this week and ask them why the City has no regard for historic landmarks in our great city, or little regard for property owner's rights?
