Every Wednesday we talk about a different Pokemon set! This week we are looking at the next set in our list: “Jungle”.

The Jungle set was released Wednesday, June 16th, 1999. This was a great second set. It added 64 cards to use in the TCG. It showcased iconic Pokemon like Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon, and it featured 6 new holograms of grass type Pokemon. (Makes sense why it was called Jungle.) There were 2 separate releases of the Jungle set:

⭐️1st edition: A very rare and limited release.

⭐️Unlimited: This version of Jungle didn’t have the 1st edition stamp.

I remember opening so many Jungle packs as a kid. While not as iconic as the original Base set, it was still so much fun to open. Did you open any Jungle booster packs as a kid? What did you pull? 👀

On Fridays we show off a card from our collection! Whether it’s an investment or just a card we love.
Check out this PSA 10 Mew EX from the Black & White legendary Treasures set. (Radiant Collection subset) LOOK AT IT. It’s so pretty 😆
This card just turned 10 years old! 🥳

Currently only 142 in existence in a PSA 10! 😮

💸 Paid: $658 after tax and shipping
💰Current market price: one sold this Wednesday for $850
📈 Net unrealized gain: $192 or 29% 📈

This is actually one of Breanna’s favorite cards… I MEAN LOOK AT IT. It’s so cute. I bought it for her for our 2nd year wedding anniversary. At the time there was only 136 in existence, it was 8 years old, and easily one of the cutest mew cards out there. So I knew she would love it.

This card was one of the main chase cards for the Black & White ✨radiant collection✨ subset. (2013) the radiant collection was a special subset of the Legendary treasures set. We LOVE the radiant collection. There are so many cute, sparkly, girly cards in the subset. We will be sure to post about them in the future!

The lowest “buy it now” price on EBay is $1,725 so we’re stoked to have picked this card up for a fraction of that. In 2016 this exact slab that we own sold for $75. It’s come a long way and we can’t wait to see where this card goes in another 7 years. Happy Friday!
