The Hotchkiss Philharmonic Orchestra is thrilled to welcome internationally renowned cellist Alexander Hülshoff as soloist and conductor for a special concert in Katherine M. Elfers Hall, Esther Eastman Music Center. The program features works by Haydn, Mozart, and Piazzolla. The special 2025-2026 concert season marks the 20th Anniversary of the breathtaking Katherine M. Elfers Hall and the state-of-the-art Esther Eastman Music Center.

Pianist Andreas Frölich returns to Hotchkiss for a very special concert this Friday, May 17, 7 p.m.

The evening will feature works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin.

Andreas Frölich - distinguished professor at the Cologne and Aachen Music schools in Germany, and at the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Austria, will share the stage with talented Hotchkiss students for the performance of Beethoven Trio op. 11 - Yobin Kim ’26, violin; Bruce Zhang ’27, cello; Alex Lu ’27, violin; and Max Salzinger ’25, cello.

The program will also include Noctunes by Chopin, Mozart Fantasy in C minor, and the Mozart piano Concerto K. 415, with pianist Elina Christova, second piano.

The concert is free and open to the public; no ticket reservations are necessary. Seating is first come, first served.

World-renowned maestro Vahan Mardisorrian will lead the orchestra, joined by pianists Fabio Witkowski and Gisele Nacif Witkowski. The all-French program will feature works by Saint-Saëns, Bizet, and Poulenc's Concerto exciting concerto for two pianos.
