2025… phew what a year. From buying a house to adopting Junior, Moose, and Arlo, to having our 2nd wedding, to working hard on growing my business… it’s been a bit of a whirlwind. Looking back at all these photos and milestones is wild.

I won’t wax poetic about all the lessons I’ve learned and progress I’ve made, but I did learn and grow a ton. I have some big goals for 2026 and I’m excited to sit down tomorrow and map it all out.

What I can say for certain, is that I’m endlessly grateful for my incredible wife , a family that always shows up, friends who make my world go round, and some four-legged babies that drive me nuts while also making me feel more whole.

There are things I hope drastically improve next year, but I’d be remiss to focus solely on those things and not on all. the. good.

Here’s to another year, friends.

I haven’t doodled in a long time. Until my friend ask me to collaborate with them on a cross stitch project, my ipad hadn’t even been charged in probably 8 months. Shout out to for inspiring me to get back into my art. I decided to make our guy Moose into an art. Can confirm drawing a red Merle Aussie is not easy!

I’ve never fished a day in my life. Ashton’s done a little fly fishing, but that’s about it. This weekend at the lake we decided, “Why not try fishing?”

In the sporting goods aisle we found this guy who looked like he lived for this stuff, so I asked him for guidance. He was thrilled to help, rattling off advice while helping us pick out rods, hooks, bobbers, and some other thing I can’t remember. Honestly, if we’d invited him to fish with us, I think he would’ve enthusiastically agreed.

Fast-forward: a couple of rods, a handful of gear, and a “we’ll just wing it” attitude later, we’re “ready.” And by ready, I mean ready to watch YouTube tutorials and hope for the best.

Yesterday Ashton set up the rods and showed me how to cast. I didn’t completely suck at it, which I’m taking as a win. Today we’re actually going to fish. I’m fully expecting to catch nothing—but if we do, there will be screaming, flailing, and a lot of “what do we do now?!” energy 🙊🎣😱

Update: my baby caught THREE fish!!! I’m always impressed by her. Her excitement is everything 😍🎣🏆

I had a couple *almost catches* but that’s about it so far. I did unhook and release two of the three Ashton caught and I only screamed once! 😂🐟🤷🏼‍♀️
