Super exciting to see Lakeside Inn and the residency program mentioned in this month's edition of "Flocking to..." Celebrating the Inn's rich cultural history, it introduces a legacy carried forward by Devereux Bowly and now, Zach Zitske.

On Lake Michigan’s southeastern shore, generations of artists have long drawn inspiration from the landscape. Now there’s a new wave of creative people finding more and more reasons to linger.

cutesy macabre is a milwaukee-based illustrator, painter, and muralist.

she is most excited working on projects that combine elements of spookiness with whimsy. a former aide for children with disabilities and current art specialist for adults with disabilities and the elderly, cutesy macabre can be found in her studio when she’s not traveling painting murals across the country, reading almost any book she can get her hands on, and dreaming of her next illustration.
