A certainly unique facility, the Lakeport Dance Center serves Lake County as a home to various programs that offer the most comprehensive and creative dance education. The goal and purpose of the center is to provide a resource for dancers in order that each student receives the highest and most professional degree of training and opportunity. Currently housed within the Lakeport Dance Center is A
ntoinette’s School of Dance, directed by Antoinette Goetz. This program is available to dancers of all ages, and includes Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Children’s Movement, Ballroom and Musical Theater. Also offered is Hip Hop under the direction of Brianna Tibbetts. Innovative, creative, and disciplined—Antoinette’s provides the incredible experiences that comes with studying and performing the art of dance. The Jazz Factory, directed by Sheila LaVine, offers to teen and adult dancers is a most exciting program. This includes Pilates, Dance Conditioning, Teen Jazz, and African Jazz. Realizing proper body alignment and core strength while enjoying choreography is at the center of this fabulous dance program. The summer program is offered in July and August, and includes dance classes and various and fun dance camps. All dance programs within the LDC participate in the Lake County Dance Festival as well as a yearly recital in June. This enables the dancer to enjoy the wonderful experience that performing brings. In addition, the center takes part in dance competitions and conventions. Every effort is made to provide the finest opportunities for every dancer.
