After the kudzu fibers are washed, separated from vine core, then they are cooked further in soda, bleached in sun, then ready to be hand pounded into paper pulp. Hand pounding provides choice of degrees of fiber length. I like to retain some integrity of filament state mixed in with fine fine paper pulp. For this, kozo pulp is mixed in at the end of pounding.
