It is with full hearts and deep reflection that we share Florida Dance Theatre officially concluded operations at the end of June 2025.
For over 30 years, FDT has been more than an organization - it’s been a home for movement, artistry, and connection. From the first tentative steps of young dancers to the bold performances of our professional company, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing lives transformed through the power of dance.
This decision was not made lightly. Like many arts institutions across the country, we faced mounting challenges that ultimately made it unsustainable to continue. And yet, we remain proud, so proud, of the legacy we leave behind: a legacy of discipline and expression, of shared stages and shining moments.
To our dancers, families, supporters, and audiences… thank you. Your belief in this work made every rehearsal, every performance, every standing ovation possible.
As we take our final bow, we encourage you to continue supporting the arts in our community. Attend a local performance. Enroll your child in a creative class. Champion the organizations that move you. The curtain may be closing on FDT, but the show goes on, because of you.
