See what’s new? My Faber-Castell colored pencils! I just love how they take a velvety texture when spread across this Bristol paper! Making a color chart has been helpful when creating pictures.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

Here is today’s project…a painting upgrade with acrylics placed over a store bought print on canvas.

This print was hanging in my parents’ house for many years until 2 years ago when I brought it home and hung it in our dining area. I always loved the blues in it, especially Prussian blue which is my favorite color! I bought Prussian blue and grey blue paint from Liquitex and added an overlay of blues, Naples yellow, light pink and silver to bring it to life.

This April, I participated in a great FUNraiser for the Rock Hill Hospice House with these ladies! I set up a table with all of my beaded bracelets and some keychains for our pocketbooks. I was happy to contribute to the event! The feature attraction though were some really nice designer pocketbooks and wallets for prizes.

I’d like to welcome the new followers this week to my page! This is a creative space about learning, sharing my crafts and sparking creativity!

I am a life-long artist. I grew up in Rockland County, NY, went to high school and raised my family in New Jersey and moved to South Carolina 5 years ago. I will always be a “Jersey girl” at heart but now with “Southern” charm! Love my home and where I live. My inspiration for fine art comes from nature.
