At work hanging more than 200 hand-cut leather leaves. These are part of a hanging installation inspired by the trails, forests and waterways of Maryland.

Each leaf is shaped, dyed, and hung by hand to build a canopy that shifts through the seasons as you move beneath it.

Process of laying out, marking and hanging. Everything came together as planned which is always such a delight during the installation process. Not all plans for installing the work turn out perfectly smooth, but this one has flowed just as fluidly as whiskey itself 😆

The state of my studio as I produced the many resin shapes this installation required. Managing space and having enough table surfaces to pour and let cure was a challenge, but somehow I always found the space to make it work.

A collection of swatches I made while experimenting for the right combination of color pigments and mica powder to get the perfect translucent warm whiskey tone for my art installation. Once I figured out my recipe, I could nail the color for every epoxy pour.

Most flowers bloom from soil, but mine are hand made. Time to attach the petals to the stem made from coiled wire.
