The Dinner Party Series began as an exploration of imagination as a welcome distraction from everyday life. In these paintings, animals gather in unexpected social settings, occupying dining rooms, celebrations, and domestic spaces that feel both familiar and delightfully absurd.

Created in a contemporary realist style, the works invite viewers into a world where the ordinary rules of reality no longer apply. Bears attend elegant dinners, foxes mingle with unlikely companions, and curious guests seem perfectly at home in scenes that blur the line between the believable and the impossible.

Growing up in Arizona, the desert has always felt like home. After moving to Australia, this connection deepened as I began exploring new environments, recognising familiar rhythms and forms across continents. This landscape is not a literal depiction. Instead, it merges memory and imagination, creating an ongoing dialogue between places I have known.
