The recording of our traditional worship service from Sunday, August 23rd, is now available on YouTube! The recording contains a sermon from Pastor Drew Severance entitled "Sharing Jesus" from Acts 21:37-22:21 and all of the congregational singing and special music from the service. Our choir anthem was the beloved song by Bill and Gloria Gaither "The Longer I Serve Him," our congregational hymns included such favorites as "To God Be the Glory" and "I Love to Tell the Story," and our concluding postlude from guest organist and choir accompanist Tammy Dopp was a setting of F***y Crosby's Gospel song "Praise Him! Praise Him!" by arranger Mary McDonald (b. 1956). We hope that all of this music and all of our worship together will be a blessing an encouragement to you this week!

The recording of our first traditional worship service with choir back from their summer holiday on August 16th is now available on YouTube! The recording contains a sermon from Pastor Reid Thayer entitled "In the Grip of His Hand" from Acts 21:27-36, a special chorale prelude from our ARP Bible Songs, "Prayer for the Peace of the Church," based on Psalm 122, and the beloved hymns "Day by Day," and "God Will Take Care of You." Our choir anthem is Joseph Martin's "Sometimes I Hear God's Music," and our concluding postlude J. S. Bach's "Little Prelude in Bb." Our prelude is a setting of the chorale "For Me to Live Is Jesus" by Johann Pachelbel, and our concluding postlude Alexandre Guilmant's "March in D," op. 36, no. 3. A recording of our traditional worship service on Sunday, July 26th, is now availabel on YouTube! The recording contains a wonderful, thoughtful sermon from Allen Ridgdill entitled "When Death Serves God" from Acts 20:1-16, opens with a orchestra prelude by Healey Willan on the tune associated with "God Moves in a Mysterious Way" and Psalm 121, and features Phebe Russell bringing us Bach's "Sarabande in G" for solo cello as our special special. The congregational hymns included such favorites as "A Mighty Fortress," "Be Still, My Soul," and "Because He Lives," and our concluding postlude was John Stanley's "Trumpet Voluntary in D." May the Lord give us grace to walk in accordance with His ways so that we may ever walk in the light of His, rejoice in His name, and be exalted in His righteousness (Psalm 89:15-16)! 🙏✝️

A recording of our traditional worship service celebrating our nation's 250th birthday on Sunday, June 28th, is now availabel on YouTube! The recording opens with an orchestra prelude on William Billings's "Chester," a hymn written in 1778 that historians often describe as the "Battle Hymn of the Revolution," and includes a sermon from our Associate Pastor Drew Severance on Acts 17:1-15 entitled "Responses to God's Word." Our choir anthem was Hal Hopson's setting of "God of Our Fathers" commissioned in honor of the inauguration of Lamar Alexander as governor of Tennessee in 1979, our congregational hymns included such favorites as "Crown Him with Many Crowns" and "Lead On, O King Eternal," and our concluding postlude a setting of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" by John Barr (1938-2024). We hope that all of this music and all of our worship together will be a blessing and encouragement to you this week.

This are the hymns for this Sunday as we look forward to celebrating our nation's 250th birthday on July 4th and to hearing a sermon from our Associate Pastor Drew Severance on Acts 17:1-15. Our opening prelude with the orchestra will be William Billings's "Chester," a hymn written in 1778 that historians often describe as the "Battle Hymn of the Revolution," and our choir anthem will be Hal Hopson's setting of "God of Our Fathers" commissioned in honor of the inauguration of Lamar Alexander as governor of Tennessee in 1979. In keeping with the passage, and the belief of many of the founding fathers that Jesus was the true King of all the nations, our hymns will a strong emphasis on His office as our Sovereign and Lord, and will include the beloved favorites "Crown Him with Many Crowns" and "Lead On, O King Eternal." We hope that all of this music and all of our worship together will be a blessing and encouragement to you this week.

These are the hymns for this Sunday as we celebrate Father's Day and look forward to a sermon from Pastor Reid Thayer entitled "Suffering, Singing, and Salvation" from Acts 16:16-40. "Faith of Our Fathers" is always appropriate to this Sunday of the year, but especially so as we approach a Scripture recounting Paul and Silas's imprisonment for the sake of the Gospel, and of course, "To God Be the Glory" is also a great congregational favorite. Our choir anthem will be René Clausen's setting of the beloved Swedish hymn "Children of the Heav'nly Father," and our concluding postlude Mendelssohn's energetic "Allegro Maestoso" from the his "Organ Sonata No. 2." We hope that all of this music and all of our worship together will be a blessing and encouragement to you this week!

The recording opens with am a prelude on the beloved hymn "Fairest Lord Jesus" by Dan Forrest (b. 1978), and features a sermon from our presbytery's student-under-care Glenn Starr entitled, "The Unmoved Mover" from Acts 16:1-15. Our congregational hymns include the beloved favorites "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," "Sweet Hour of Prayer," and "This Is My Father's World," along with the Bible Songs setting of Psalm 72 entitled "Christ Shall Have Dominion." Our choir anthem is "Go into the World" by the well-loved American composer Natalie Sleeth (1930-1992), and our concluding postlude the "Little Prelude in F" from the "Eight Little Preludes and Fugues" traditionally attributed to J.
