Would you keep your hands on a truck if it meant you’d win it? What is your American dream?

When an auto dealership in Longview, TX, launches an endurance contest, ten economically strapped strangers embark on a journey that tests their hearts, minds, and bodies. The contestant who keeps at least one hand on a brand-new hardbody truck the longest gets to drive it off the lot. What initially seems like a mere publicity stunt soon becomes a soul-baring battle of wills.

The musical Hands on a Hardbody opens Friday July 10 and continues through August 16th! This new musical is a fusion of blues, rock and country! 10 contestants compete to keep their hands on a Nissan hardbody pickup. Last one standing wins the truck! Along the way we learn what gives them the motivation, or should we say, “the drive”

Meet the star of Lakewood's upcoming summer blockbuster: A cherry red Nissan pickup truck. Hands On A Hardbody is a based-on-a-true-story musical about a contest to win a brand new truck. The rules, keep one hand on the truck at all times. Whoever can keep their hand on the lonsgest, wins!

You can see the star of our show first hand this coming Saturday at the Lake Oswego Fourth Of July parade.

Hands On A Hard Body opens July 10 at Lakewood Theatre. Tickets are available online, at our box office, or give us a holler over the horn. We can give you a hand.
