Here’s a scene, inspired by a local wildlife refuge view. We have had scattered showers here off and on lately; the skyscapes change so quickly! I like to paint rainy weather conditions- as impressionistic landscapes.
Rain in the distance beyond an open field is a favorite subject. 6x6 inches. Oil on panel. If interested in this original art, send a DM for more info and price.

Yes, you can use a watercolor brush on an oil painting! Great for blending, softening edges and painting lost edges. Dedicate that brush to oils and do not use it on your watercolor art. Video has no sound.

Ten creatives enjoyed painting at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Lake Jackson. A big thank you to Pastor Robin Reeves - Kautz for the invitation! Since 1954, this church has always been a big supporter or music and the arts, having programs for the community to enjoy. The Grace Garden was lovely with peach colored roses in bloom. The old pipe organ and stained glass windows were so beautiful! The Brazoria County Plein Aires are grateful for the opportunity to paint this lovely church and grounds. I hope you enjoy the video.

Paper napkins, paper scraps , antique letters, script, poetry, old book pages; beautiful, yummy Japanese papers, paper from the UK and hand made paper from Asia were torn, auditioned for the design then glued onto watercolor paper into interesting shapes. We had fun creating a floral collage at The Cozy Peach in Angleton. Way to go ladies!
