Please join singing actor WALLACE NORMAN for a stroll, an amble, a saunter, a jaunt, perhaps a perambulation down his very dusty musical road at the PHOENICIA PLAYHOUSE. Rehearsals have been underway for some weeks. We're coming into the home stretch.
"It is a true joy to create this cabaret program collaborating with the amazing jazz pianist PAUL ANTHONY DUFFY. Paul brings an elegant musical sensibility to his amazing arrangements of an extraordinary collection of musical theater songs. We have some Sondheim, songs from the Depression Era, songs written for me and a set of songs by the great Jacques Brel. And I am thrilled that my friend and veteran stage director HANK NEIMARK has joined us bringing theatrical sophistication to the party. This STROLL DOWN A MUSICAL ROAD is a very personal one for me beginning with my very first musical memories. Since my beginnings as a performer some decades ago I have had the privilege of working with and learning from some of the most extraordinary musical artists. I could not be more excited to share this work."

In the grand tradition of Gertrude Stein and DH Lawrence, my good friend Ariana Johns has invited me to perform a 20 minute excerpt from my new cabaret show called A STROLL DOWN A DUSTY MUSICAL ROAD in the Vampingo Productions Salon called IN LIKE A LION. The Salon will take place on Sunday, March 8 @ 4pm (doors open @ 3:30pm). An informal pot luck reception will follow the performance. Studios 353, located at 353 West 48th Street, Studio 1.
