Formerly located in the heart of Lake George Village, Gaslight Village was the most entertaining amusement park in the Adirondack region. Opened in 1959, it's Gay 90's style theme featured entertainment for everyone rain or shine. e Cavalcade Of Cars was an all-time favorite featuring Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Bob Hope Car just to name a few. Gaslight Village closed in 1989 and was renamed Ride and Fun Park for a short time before once again being renamed Action Park. Action Park closed it's doors a short time later and the property now is the home of the Charles R. Wood Park.
