Musicians With Passion Serving the Community. We present six concerts each season, with two of them being free outdoor concerts right at home in Zion, Illinois.

We are an ensemble of passionate musicians dedicated to serving Lake County, Illinois by providing quality and exciting music for all ages. Tickets for our classical series are available through our website, and donations are gratefully accepted. Thank you for your support!

Saturday’s bar has a fall favorite: the maple apple c***r old fashioned. 🍂

It’s the signature drink for our Charlie Brown jazz night at The Barn in Hawthorn Woods. The rest of the menu: wh***ey on the rocks, red and white w**e, Oktoberfest b**r, and Angry Orchard, plus Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, ginger ale, and water. Cards accepted.

A small jazz combo plays the music from the Peanuts TV specials. Stick around after the show and hang out with the musicians.

There’s something about Vince Guaraldi’s music that instantly feels like fall. The warm piano, the nostalgia, the cozy feeling of the season — and now you can experience it all right here in Hawthorn Woods. 🍂

Join us at The Barn for a special evening with the Lake County Symphony Orchestra featuring unforgettable music.

If you know the sound of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — the wandering piano of the Graveyard Theme, the swagger of The Red Baron, the wistful Great Pumpkin Waltz — you know Vince Guaraldi's music, even if you've never heard his name

Pianist Connor Cowart leads a talented jazz combo featuring LCSO principal musicians and special guests for an intimate evening filled with nostalgia, beautiful music and just a touch of spooky fall magic.

For over fifty years, this music only existed as scratchy audio ripped straight from a TV broadcast — wind noise, voiceovers, and all.

The original master tapes were considered lost. Then, a few years ago, they turned up in a storage unit — and the real recordings were heard clearly for the first time in half a century.

This October, we're playing new arrangements of those rediscovered 1966 sessions live at The Barn at Hawthorn Woods. Come hear what almost stayed lost forever.

In just under 4 weeks, the LCSO brings Vince Guaraldi's rediscovered 1966 sessions to The Barn at Hawthorn Woods — an intimate evening with pianist Connor Cowart leading a jazz combo with LCSO principal Lauren Moldenhauer on flute, LCSO principal Karl E. H. Seigfried on bass, Octavio Escamilla on guitar, and Calvin Simmers on drums.

You'll hear unique arrangements of Linus and Lucy, the Charlie Brown Theme, the Graveyard Theme, the Red Baron, and The Great Pumpkin Waltz and more.

Our 2026-2027 Season Opener is officially in the books!
Thank you to everyone who filled the James Lumber Center on September 12 — the energy in that room was unforgettable, and it's only the beginning of our season.

Swipe through a few favorites from opening night, and here's what's ahead: we bring this program to the students of Stevenson High School on Sept 23 for Classical Music Month, we're back at Hawthorn Woods for Autumn Serenade on Oct 17, and tickets are already on sale for our Dec 12 holiday concert.
