what’s your most peaceful memory? for me, it’s getting up early to watch the sunrise at Lake D’Arbonne a few months ago!

sorry it’s been a while since i was active, but i’m popping in to let you know that if you’re in the lake charles area, swing by to see me latest piece! Lake D’Arbonne at Dawn is a 16x20 oil paint on canvas piece that I painted this April and i’m super grateful to my in-laws for giving me a venue for it. if you’d like to see me more regularly, i’m pretty active on tiktok doing cosplay stuff!

For an artist, getting married means there are some things you have to do yourself so they turn out just right!
This is our ring box (ft a sneak peak at our rings from CustomkingDesign on Etsy!). I found the GORGEOUS hard cover at a book sale like four years ago and had to bring it home because it was so pretty and it ended up matching our colors perfectly! I’m so excited for C**t to carry this book down the aisle with him next week!

(ps, i know some may have reservations about cutting up an old book. this was a william faulkner anthology, so i feel no guilt 😘)

Hi, everyone! It's been a while since I've posted, but I just wanted to let you know that my senior exhibition is live! This is one of the pieces featured in the show. Headspace is a 24x36" newsprint and charcoal piece done for my figure drawing class this semester. This is my favorite piece in the show, but the others are all close runners-up!

Happy New Years, everybody! This Christmas, I had the opportunity to redo a piece that I did for my dad about 4 years ago. The original painting was the best I could do at the time, but in the end, I knew I could do better than that now. I redid the piece using a grid to get proportions right and executed the piece using compressed charcoal and compressed charcoal pencils (my faves). Originally, I was going to do the faces on this one because the original had a kind of sinister feeling to it with them missing, but I chose not to do them in the end because the movement in the piece expresses the same emotion that was on our faces. I’m really proud of how this piece turned out and can’t wait to keep drawing ☺️
