Imperial Calcasieu Museum We are a history, culture and art museum serving Calcasieu, Cameron, Allen, Beauregard and Jeff Davis

The ICM serves as a repository of historical artifacts of the Imperial Calcasieu region, and hosts numerous exhibits. Our mission is to support visual arts & artists, maintain a strong arts education program, and preserve the unique culture and history of the region.

Take a little piece of the historic Sallier Oak home with you! At this year’s Lighting of the Oak 2026, guests will have the opportunity to create their own Gelli plate print using a leaf from our beloved historic oak tree, guided by artist Anna Alamond. This hands-on experience brings together art, nature, and local history, transforming a simple leaf into a one-of-a-kind work of art.

No two prints are exactly alike, making these special keepsakes sure to leave an impression!

For 100 years, the Port of Lake Charles has been part of the story of Southwest Louisiana. The Imperial Calcasieu Museum is honored to celebrate the Port’s centennial year and grateful for their support of The Lighting of the Oak 2026 as a Rococo Sponsor.

The growth of our region is deeply connected to the Port. Through the years, it has helped bring people, businesses, industries, and opportunities to our community, shaping the place we know and love today. And what a wonderfully layered place it is.

Our history is a gumbo of cultures, traditions, industries, landscapes, and people who have all added something to the pot.
