Friday night was truly extraordinary for everyone involved in the arts as we celebrated the reopening of the Ben Mount Theatre at Central School! 🎭🎶

The Lake Charles Symphony is so excited to call this beautiful theatre home for our 69th season—a place where music, creativity and magic can happen! ✨

We were especially proud to showcase our principal cellist, Adrian Ponce, who took the stage for a beautiful solo performance of Bach’s Prelude from Cello Suite No. 1. 🎻👏

A HUGE thank-you Lee Ann Stenvick and Olivia Mayo with the Arts Council of SWLA, as well as Payton and the extraordinary team from the City of Lake Charles. Your dedication, hard work and commitment to the arts made this remarkable evening possible! ❤️🎭🎶

We’re excited to celebrate the unveiling and ribbon cutting of Bright Beginnings’ very own Gators on the Geaux! 💚💙🎨

Painted by the incredibly talented Abby Brumett and Ashley Royer 🎨✨, this whimsical gator is bursting with bright colors and features the smiling faces and memories of the many children who have made Bright Beginnings such a special place over the past 41 years. ❤️👧👦

🌟 Bright Beginnings is proud to be the first daycare in Southwest Louisiana to receive one of the new Gators on the Geaux sculptures! 🐊🎉

Gators on the Geaux is a public art project of the Lake Charles Symphony, bringing together art, creativity, and community pride through beautifully painted alligators displayed across Southwest Louisiana. 🎼🎨💚

✨🎶 One of the things we noticed most was just how engaged every child was. ❤️👧👦 From the tiniest little ones to the older children, they were completely captivated by the music. 🎻🎺🥁

There wasn’t a single child who cried, fussed, or wanted to leave. Instead, they listened, smiled, clapped, danced, and experienced the magic of live symphony music. 🎼👏💛

Moments like these remind us why children’s programming matters so much. 💚 Music has the power to inspire, spark imagination, and create lifelong memories. 🎨✨

We’re so grateful to partner with organizations that believe in bringing these experiences to families throughout Southwest Louisiana, and we can’t wait to share even more musical adventures with our community! 🐊🎶🌟
