Patriot Grand Prix

Patriot Grand Prix Patriot Grand Prix is a race held in Lake Charles, Louisiana at the Burton Coliseum. The event benefits local veterans and their families.

The Gator Grand Prix evolved from our 2014 Gator 100 Go-Kart Race at the Lake Charles Civic Center. "I didn't serve in the Military, but I get to serve the Military whenever possible." Thom Hager

This year's race has morphed into a Grand Prix course design and includes both indoor and outdoor elements.The race is held at "The Gator Pit" (also known as the Burton Coliseum.) The Pit area has have b

een moved to the North side of the Gator Pit to allow fans better access to the outdoor portion of the course and for better viewing of the pit area. This also allows drivers more safety in the pit area by better separation of the pits and actual race course. Most of the course and it's most challenging curves are still located inside the Gator Pit. Remember, 100% of the Gate Receipts are being donated to our Local Veterans, so please come pack the house and show them how much you appreciate them.

So....The rain has decided to wash our Race Course today, so we're moving things around a bit. Our Patriot Grand Prix races are still scheduled for today, but we'll simply have to drive between the droplets! If there are thundershowers, we will wait till they pass.

The Car Show has been moved to Sunday along with the Corvette Club display. Our entertainment has been rescheduled for later this summer as well as the Petting Zoo from Red Oak Farms. All Vendors have been rescheduled as well.

The Coushatta Co****le Tournament is still scheduled as this event is under roof.

The Carnival is still up and running and all are invited to enjoy the rides Sunday which will be a beautiful day in Kinder. The Sports Car Club of America will set up their course later today for their amazing Autocross. This is FREE to everyone.

Come to the races and bring your umbrellas and rain gear today. We'll be driving and dancing in the rain!

Join us at the Coushatta Pavilion in Kinder for great family fun April 14th - 16th. We've added even more excitement to the Patriot Grand Prix Go-kart Races this year with a carnival, petting zoo, face painting, corn hole, car show, live entertainment and more! Admission is FREE to enter the grounds. We appreciate donations to our local veterans through the City of Refuge in Kinder.
