If you’ve ridden Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, you probably know exactly what happens when Centurion Tal Marik asks Guests what the people of EPCOT are called.
For years, Guests have shouted “ALCOHOLICS!” in response, a joke inspired by EPCOT’s famous “Drinking Around the World” tradition.
Now, Disney has quietly edited the first preshow, putting an end to the audience interaction.
After Tal Marik asks, “Does anyone know what they call themselves?” there was previously a brief pause that gave Guests the perfect opportunity to yell their answers.
In the newly edited version, that pause is gone. A brief visual cut occurs, and Tal Marik immediately continues with his next line, leaving Guests with no time to respond.
It’s a tiny change, but one that Cosmic Rewind riders will definitely notice!
